Method for manufacturing the housing of radial fans which comprise two side plates and a back plate running in a spiral shape, the back plate being fixed on the edges of the two side plates, the two side plates being mounted in a rotatable clamping device and before turning of the two side plates the as yet flat back plate being fixed at one end to the two side plates and in the subsequent, simultaneous turning of the two side plates the back plate being forced against the edges of the two side plates and thereby arched and at the same time being fixed to the edges of the two side plates.
