PURPOSE:The titled line printer having a simple construction in which an image to be printed is fed out without being reversed, wherein a thermal head is pressed against a platen in a following-up manner with a projection provided at a longitudinally intermediate part of a heat-fitting shaft as a fulcrum. CONSTITUTION:The head-fitting shaft 5 is rotatably fitted between a pair of side plates 11 together with the platen 2. Parallel flat surface parts 7 for fitting the thermal head 1 and positioning the latter are provided at left and right parts of the shaft 5, and the projection is provided at an intermediate part where the shaft 5 makes contact with the head 1. A thermal head positioning plate 4 having U-shaped side projections 8 for engaging to the flat surface parts 7 of the shaft 5 is fitted to the head 1 so that a heating element 12 of the head 1 is the platen 2 make contact with each other on a plane. The projections 8 of the plate 4 are fitted to the flat surface parts 7 in a chattering-free manner so that the head 1 makes contact with the shaft 5 at the projection 6 and can perform a seesaw motion with the projection 6 as a center while maintaining the positional relationship between the platen 2 and the heating element 12 of the head 1. |
