A composition for oral hygiene contains tantalum pentoxide in association with a physiologically acceptable excipient. The preferred composition contains from 0.1 to 5% by weight of tantalum pentoxide, the particles of pentoxide having a diameter which is not greater than 25 mu m and more advantageously between 1 and 5 mu m. This composition can be presented in the form of toothpaste, gum paste and chewing gum. |
