ARC WELDING METHOD WITH NON-CONSUMABLE ELECTRODE

PURPOSE:To expand the applicable thickness size and to improve adaptability to a change in the angle at which a wire is inserted in arc welding using a nonconsumable electrode by forming a filler wire to the specific size smaller than the size of the conventional wire and expanding the satisfactory range of the amt. of wire deposition. CONSTITUTION:The size of a filler wire in arc welding with a non-consumable electrode is changed to 0.2-0.6mm. from conventional 1.0-1.6mm. and the wire is automatically fed. The range of the amt. of wire deposition where satisfactory welding is accomplished is thus considerably increased and the welding of the plates having smaller and larger thicknesses than in the prior art is made possible. Since the adaptability to a change in the angle at which the wire is inserted is expanded, the welding operation is made easy and the welding efficiency is improved.
