The invention relates to a flue gas-carrying pipe in which at least one layer, in particular each or the only layer, consists of fibre-reinforced concrete or of a fibre material bound in another matrix, for chimneys, characterised in that the fibres are especially glass fibres or carbon fibres, a cement-free matrix being preferred if the matrix is not fibre-reinforced concrete.
