Tailboard hinge having a flange part which serves for fastening to the tailboard and which is connected to a bearing for receiving a hinge pin, there being provided at the ends of a flange stops which are perpendicular to the flange surface and each of which is at a working distance from the bearing serving for receiving a stationary hinge pin which possesses at one end control ribs which are arranged at a distance from one another and perpendicularly to the hinge pin and the mutual spacing of which allows a play between the control ribs and the stops, there being provided offset relative to one another in the respective control ribs recesses which successively release the hinge top part in different positions, and the control ribs being connected on the same side of the tailboard to a carrier of the tailboard, for example by welding.
