PURPOSE:To form a dye image by heating in a state in which water is not contained by using a photosensitive material contg. photosensitive silver halide, a binder, a specified dye providing substance and a specified hydroquinone deriv. on a support. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material contg. photosensitive silver halide, a binder, a dye providing substance which releases a movable hydrophilic dye by a reaction with the photosensitive silver halide under heating, and a hydroquinone deriv. which releases a compound having a mercapto group when oxidized on a support is imagewise exposed and heated to >=80 deg.C in a state in which water is not contained to form an image. Said hydroquinone deriv. may be 2-n-dodecylthio-5-(1'-phenyltetrazol-5'-ylthio)hydroquinone or 2-(benzoxazol-5'- ylthio)-5- (1'',1'',3'',3''-tetramethyl)hydroquinone. A compound represented by formula I or II or the like is used as said dye providing substance by 10mg/m<2>- 15g/m<2>. |
