PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce noise produced by a pulley by coating the surface of the pulley with an elastic member. CONSTITUTION:A pulley 1 is made of metal such as iron or aluminium, and provided with a through hole 1a having a key way disposed at the central portion thereof. The pulley is fixed to a crankshaft. An elastic member 2 such as rubber, foam, resin or the like is sintered or adhered to the whole surface of both sides of the pulley 1. The elastic member 2 is a plate member 2 to 8mm. in thickness. The vibration of the crankshaft is effectively absorbed in the interior of the elastic members 2 joined to the sides, so that the outer surface of the elastic members 2 are scarcely vibrated. Thus, noise is remarkably reduced. |
