A growing container, in particular for tomato and cucumber plants, consists of a white plastics foil bag (1) filled with granulated phenol foam (3). To improve its light-absorbing properties so that the roots (4) of the plants (2) can spread right out to the inner side of the plastics foil bag (1), said inner side is black. To improve the light reflection of the plastics foil bag (1) against the green parts of the plants (2), the upwardly facing outer side of the bag consists of metalized plastics foil. |
