A mechanical calculating device for calculating concentrations contains in a housing (5) up to three linear concentration scales (A, B, Y) for the initial concentration, the final concentration and the concentration to be added, respectively, and two logarithmic quantity scales (C, D) for the final quantity and the quantity to be added. After the concentration scales have been adjusted in accordance with the given concentrations, the required quantity to be added can be read from the quantity scales as a function of the given final quantity. For this purpose, the quantity scales (C, D) are coupled by means of mechanical transmissions with continuously variable translation ratios to the concentration scales (B, Y). <IMAGE>
