In a hot-water flow heater, the heat source is formed by a pulsating jet unit, which is submerged in the tank filled with water, and an air cylinder, a mixing pipe, a combustion chamber and a swing pipe starting therefrom. The gas/air mixture entering into the combustion chamber from the mixing pipe is guided by a mixture-guiding part which is thermally insulated in relation to the mixing pipe so that it heats up during operation. <IMAGE>
