<p>Machine bed for machine tools with two guides provided in separated planes and each formed by two guiding slides, namely a substantially horizontal main guide and a skewed additional guide, at least the guiding slides of the main guide being situated on tangents intersecting each other or parallels to a circle of which the center is also the center of the work-piece and/or the rotation center of the tool of the machine. In order to avoid an unstable positioning of the sub-groups being on the main guide in the case of heavy weight work-pieces and upon the occurrence of important machining forces, there is proposed to displace the intersection point (M), by supporting the sub-groups on the main guide (11, 12) thereby generating normal forces (N1, N2), with respect to the gravity center (S) of a work-piece (16) so that, due to the weight of the piece and the machining force (FR) of the tool (15), rotation torques (M1, M2) added to each other are generated, which torques press the sub-groups guided on the main guide (11, 12) against the rear guiding slide (12) opposite to the control side (A).</p> |
