PURPOSE:To obtain a primer applicator jig capable of forming a primer layer of uniform film thickness having excellent external appearance on the surface, esp. the periphery, of a workpiece to be coated, by attaching an applicator part prepd. by providing a woven fabric on the outer surface of a nonwoven fabric rotatably with respect to one side plate of the main body of said jig and vertically movable with respect to the other side plate. CONSTITUTION:The main body 20 of a primer applicator jig is constituted by attaching each top end of a side plate 21 and another side plate 22 in parallel with each other through an upper plate 23 thereto. At a protuberant part 211 projected at the central part of the lower end of the side plate 21, one end of a lower plate 24 is rotatably attached to the side plate 21. The other end of the lower plate 24 is vertically movably attached through a spring 30 to the side plate 22. In addition, an applicator part 10 is attached downwards to the central part of the lower surface of the lower plate 24. Said applicator part 10 is constituted with the main body 13 of the applicator part attached to the lower plate 24, a nonwoven fabric 11 detachably provided in such a manner that it extends from one surface of said body 13 through its top part to the other surface of said body 13 to cover said other surface and a woven fabric 12 detachably provided in such a manner that it covers said nonwoven fabric 11.
