Climbing element, the free ends 1 of which are of tubular design and surrounded by externally profiled dowel-like mountings 3 which can be anchored in bores of the masonry, characterised in that the mountings 3 are arranged non-positively on the ends 1 of the climbing element using the injection-moulding process. Advantageously, the climbing element is surrounded in its tread region with a plastic jacket 2, the mountings 3 being welded in a liquid-tight manner to the end region of the plastic casing 2. The climbing element according to the invention is connected rigidly to the mounting and protected reliably against corrosion. It can no longer be pulled out of the masonry.
