The device secures modules of ceramic fibre used in lining the internal walls of a furnace. It is a U-shaped metal component (1), with a hook (7,7') formed at the top of each arm (5,5'), the hook being extended by a bar (9,9') away from the plane of the U. - Each hook can be open towards the inside of the U, so as to accommodate the bar of a similar adjacent component, while each bar can have a pointed end. The component can be of refractory or stainless steel.
