This sealing gasket with two pressure levels for fluids is provided for forming a sealed join between two elements which move with respect to one another, for example a piston and a cylinder. It includes a bearing ring 12 made from a hard, inelastic material, for example "teflon" and which forms a seal which is effectively leaktight at high pressures, and a sealing ring 11 made from a softened elastic material, which forms a seal which is effectively leaktight at low pressures. At high pressures, the sealing ring 11 is pushed back by the pressure under the bearing ring 12 and, by acting like a wedge, by virtue of tapered surfaces 24, 34 it tends to press the bearing ring 12 more tightly against the wall of the cylinder. <IMAGE>
