摘要 The invention permits the uniform irrigation of intestinal suction probes and remote monitoring of their correct functioning. It comprises a vessel supplied with serum via an adjustable drip 10. A tube 16 lies flush via one of its ends with the surface of the liquid which is contained in the vessel, and it is connected via the other end to the air inlet of an intestinal probe. The drip causes the level of the serum to rise, which gradually immerses the end of the tube 16, inside which the partial vacuum, maintained by the intestinal probe, aspirates several drops of serum. The level falls and loses contact with the tube 16. The latter then aspirates air until its end is once again immersed, and so on. The adjustment of the flow rate in the tube 10 makes it possible to control the quantity of serum aspirated by the probe. Furthermore, the progress of the droplets in the transparent tube 16 demonstrates that the system is functioning correctly, since, when the partial vacuum in the air inlet disappears, the drops of serum stop instantly. The applications of the invention which are of greatest interest are in medical and surgical resuscitation. Connected to the air inlets of all intestinal probes; by permitting their monitoring, it can prevent the serious consequences of their inadvertent blockage; by providing a permanent irrigation of the conduit, it avoids the risk of obstruction by deposition of dried secretions. <IMAGE>
