摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to judge a cylinder without erroneous judgement and without using a cylinder judging sensor, by detecting the fact that the number of rotation is within the preset range, and comparing the average level of the output of a sensor for a specified cylinder with a specified cylinder judging level. CONSTITUTION:At first, the facts that knocking is not generated and the number of rotation of an engine is within the preset range are detected. The output of a knock sensor, which is arranged so that it is deviated from the center of the engine, is inputted to a control unit ECU. The average output level Vm of each cylinder and the average level Vt of all the cylinders are obtained. The Vt is muliplied by a coefficient alpha and the cylinder judging level is obtained. The coefficient alpha is determined so that, e.g., the number 2 cylinder can be stably judged. The judging level and the average level of the cylinder this time are compared. When the average level is smaller than the judging level, the cylinder this time is judged to be the number 2 cylinder. Therefore, the cylinder can be judged without erroneous judgement and without using a cylinder judging sensor.
