This strap hinge comprises: - A strap hinge body 100 with a hollow cylindrical part 110 fitting round the rod 12 of the hinge pin, and a radial part 120 connected to the shutter 50; - A junction part 200; - Means 600, 610, for fixing the junction part at a point of variable height on the shutter; - Means 300 for connecting the junction part to the body of the strap hinge, with azimuth adjustment x; - Means 800 of adjusting depth y; - Means 400, 500 of adapting the internal dimension of the hollow cylindrical part to the external diameter of the rod of the hinge pin. Application to the renovation of buildings with the fitting of new shutters on old hinge pins kept in their positions. <IMAGE>
