PURPOSE:To enhance sharpness of a color image by using a photoconductive toner having sensitivity to light in a specified visible wavelength region and coloring absorption of the light in the other specified wavelength region. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive toner is given sharp sensitivity to the green light in the 500-600nm wavelength visible light region, and coloring absorption in the <=500nm wavelength visible light region to exhibit yellow. Said sensitivity characteristics have the max. peak of sensitivity in the 520-560nm wavelength region, and preferably >=80% of the whole visible light sensitivity in the 500- 580nm wavelength region. The light absorption characteristics due to said coloring absorption in <=520nm wavelength region preferably occupies 80% of the total visible light absorption. Such a photoconductive toner is allowed to attain a sharp image by adding a photoconductor a green sensitizer having a sensitizing action in the 500-600 green wavelength region to give photoconductivity in this region, and adding a yellow pigment or dye having coloring absorption of the light in the <=500nm wavelength region to limit the photoconductivity of the photoconductor within 500-600nm wavelength region. |
