The guide rail for a saw chain of a power saw has two side rails between which a deflection star wheel is arranged which is rotatably mounted with the peripheral surface of its inner bore on bearing rollers provided at the periphery of a track ring. The roller bearing is covered on both sides by two discs. The discs are designed as thin, roughly foil-like, flat guide discs and bear at the side rails against plane surfaces which are made free of steps in a single plane up to the free front end. The flat guide discs are dimensioned and arranged in such a way that there is a minimum annular gap between a peripheral margin of the flat guide disc and an outer margin of the inner bore of the deflection star wheel.
