Device for the displaceable mounting of the mast foot of a sailboard on the board, with a slide designed for receiving the mast foot, a pulling-rope guide which can be connected to the slide and is connected to the surfboard, and also a releasable locking brake acting on the pulling-rope guide. For the sensitive adjustment of the mast foot even when the mast is under stress, the pulling-rope guide is designed as an endless band which is run over deflection rollers mounted in the surfboard, and the locking brake has at least one spring-loaded brake shoe which can be moved perpendicularly from its released position towards a section of the endless band.
