PURPOSE:To permit to measure a valve opening pressure without dismantling the unit injector by a method wherein the unit injector is mounted to the mounting table for nozzle and a pressurizing device, carrying operating oil and provided with a pressure meter, is fixed above the table rotatably into horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:The unit injector A to be tested is mounted on the mounting table 5 for nozzle by a cramp 35, a barrel housing 8 is turned to engeage with support columns 1, 2 and nuts 11 are tightened. When a plunger 13 is pushed down by a lever 30, a follwer plunger 21 is pushed down to communicate a spill port 20 with a pressurizing chamber. When the indicating needle of the pressure meter is risen gradually and the pressure arrives at the valve opening pressure, the indicating needle descends. A shim 36 for the injector is exchanged so that the valve opening pressure shows a specified pressure. According to this method, the valve opening pressure of the unit injector may be measured one by one without dismantling them and, further, the unit injector may be exchanged simply. |
