PURPOSE:To make a heat pump type air conditioner utilizing air as heat source install at a position apart from building wall and at the same time contrive to reduce the energy required to take in the fresh air for heat source. CONSTITUTION:Both the upper end 4 and lower end 5 of a vertical duct 2 installed at the central portion of a building 1 have openings open to the outside air equipped with an upper damper 6 and a lower damper 7 respectively. Similarly, the upper end 8 and lower end 9 of a vertical duct 3 have openings open to the outside air equipped with an upper damper 10 and a lower damper 11. The vertical ducts 2 and 3 constituted as mentioned above are vertically installed in the building 1 so as to pierce through the respective stories and heat pump type air conditioners 15 are arranged within the room at each story in the vicinity of both the vertical ducts 2 and 3. Because the apparatuses of each air conditioner 15 are arranged so that the outside air for heat source flows itself horizontally and changes the heat with an outdoor side heat exchanger 19 and, in addition, the fresh-air inlet 21 and exhaust outlet 22 of each air conditioner 15 are so arranged as to produce said horizontal flow, each air conditioner 15 can be installed in a room apart from the outside wall. |
