Organic conductive materials 4 obtained by electrochemical polymerisation of at least one monomer based on the substituted or unsubstituted selenophene type, these materials 4 being made conductive by incorporation of ions which is carried out during the polymerisation operation. These materials can be used especially in electrochemical cells intended to serve electrochromic display devices or batteries. <IMAGE>
