PURPOSE:To enable easy manufacture of a biosensor which has high mechanical strength and is free from variation in sensitivity without damaging an electrode and a physiologically active material film by fixing the electrode to the body of the biosensor then immobilizing the physiologically active material to the electrode. CONSTITUTION:A long-sized pipe material 2 consisting of a thermoplastic resin such as, for example, PVC is cut longitudinally to a semicylindrical shape. A plate material 1 of Pt or the like which is provided with a projecting part 1a and is formed to the width larger than the inside diameter of the material 2 and smaller than the outside diameter thereof is sandwiched between the cut parts of the pipe material and the assembly is heated to join. A treating liquid for silane coupling or the like is passed into the material 2 to treat the plate surface and thereafter a desired enzyme soln. or microorganism suspension is passed therein and is fixed on the surface of the material 1. An electrode 5 immobilized with the physiologically active material is thus surely immovably fixed to the body 4 and a lead wire 6 is attached to the projecting part 5a. A sensor 3 having high sensitivity and a long life is thus easily obtd. without damaging the electrode 5. |
