In the case of a water mixer unit with upright connection for installation on a bath rim or the like, the unit having two vertically arranged uprights by which the fastening of the unit element on the sanitary element and the connection to the cold and hot water supply line takes place, for the purpose of connecting the unit element to the permanently installed uprights it is envisaged that the unit element is fastened to the uprights by tubular connecting pieces which can move in relation to the uprights and, in the connected state, are covered by the unit element and the uprights.
