PURPOSE:To stabilize and secure fixation by providing a fixing and a press- contacting roller each with external layer structure which has a heat-resisting elastic material layer on the surface of a roller core and is provided with a coating layer of fluororesin rubber paint containing fluororesin on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The fixing roller 1 and press-contacting roller 3 are each provided with the external layer structure which has the heat-resisting layer on the surface of the roller core and is provided with the coating layer of fluororesin paint containing fluororesin on the surface. Therefore, a recording material P comes into sufficient press contact with the fixing roller 1 elastically to fix a toner image stably and securely without defacing, and the coating layer 12 containing the fluororesin has elasticity because of the fluororubber, so damage is reduced; and a recording material P is sandwiched elastically from both surfaces, so even when the recording material is thin, the recording material P never wrinkles. |
