PURPOSE:To omit a job control language for the allocation of data set by allocating the data set automatically to a disc volume on the receiving side on the basis of a data set allocation information record sent from the trasmitting side to store the data. CONSTITUTION:When a data set A in a computer on the transmitting side is to be transmitted, a transmission processing program transmits data having a prescribed format to a reception processing program through a communication circuit. A data set allocation information record 11 in the prescribed format includes a data set name, a volume through No., a data set format, a record format, block length, and the number of records which are necessary for the reception processing program to allocate the data set. The reception processing program allocates (dynamic allocation) the receiving data set automatically in accordance with the contents of the data set allocation information record 11 and then stores data 12-14 to be transmitted. |
