The present invention relates to an improved pressure-reducing apparatus. This pressure reducer essentially comprises a body 1 with an inlet 2 and outlet 3 for gas, a cover 4 mounted on this body, a manometric membrane 5 fixed between the body 1 and the cover 4, a calibration spring 8 for this membrane and a stop 10 projecting from the cover 4 and on which the membrane 5 can bear and pivot, which membrane thus has a lever function capable of directly shutting off the inlet 2 for gas into the apparatus. The apparatus of the invention is for example intended to equip domestic installations fed by gas fuel such as butane or propane. <IMAGE>
