Spanning tractor having two driving rear wheels, mechanically driven by the tractor engine and two hydraulically servo-assisted front wheels, characterised in that the hydraulic circuit for supplying the hydraulic motors of the front wheels comprises, between the pump and the said motors, a flow-distribution unit 4 comprising a selector-inverter 12 and two conjugate electrovalves 13, 14 which, in the braking position 13a, 14a simultaneously deflect one portion of the flow of hydraulic liquid through two adjustable calibrated orifices 16, 20, so that the hydraulic motors are always supplied with low pressure, their return flow to the tank being throttled by the calibrated orifice 16 associated with the electrovalve 13. <IMAGE>
