Rearview mirror arrangement in motor vehicles

A rearview mirror arrangement in motor vehicles has two adjustable rearview mirrors (11, 12) which can be rotated electrically about two pivot axes which are perpendicular to one another by means of adjustment motors, one of which mirrors can also be manually adjusted. Each rearview mirror (11, 12) is provided with two angle sensors (13, 14, 15, 16) for forming electrical signals which are a measure of the angular position of the rearview mirrors with respect to the pivot axes which are perpendicular to one another. The electrical output signals of two mutually parallel axes of associated angle sensors are applied to a comparator circuit (17, 18) which supplies two angle adjustment signals taking into account the different optimum positions of the two rearview mirrors with respect to the initial position of the driver. The angle adjustment signals associated with each pivot axis of the second rearview mirror (12) are applied to the corresponding adjustment motors (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
