PURPOSE:To improve catalyst activity and to reduce pressure drop in the catalyst bed by arranging introducing passages and discharging passages of the fluid to be treated alternately along directions for introducing and discharging the fluid, and constructing the parts between the introducing passages and discharging passages with a porous and gas permeative catalyst layer. CONSTITUTION:A molded catalyst body 10 is prepd. so as to form plural numbers of introducing passage 1 and discharging passage 3 alternately along introducing and discharging direction of the fluid to be treated, and the wall 5 between each introducing passage and the wall 2, 4 at the bottom of each discharging passage are constructed with a porous catalyst material. As the result, the activity of the catalyst is improved sufficiently, and the pressure drop in the catalyst bed is reduced appropriately. |
