PURPOSE:To set a fundamental mode adapted to a place of the use by counting the number of set modes in which a machine itself is used and checking the counted value at intervals of a predeterminate time and changing the fundamental mode to the mode which is set most frequently then. CONSTITUTION:When the operation is started by an operation panel 2, the operation is started in the initial fundamental mode, which is stored in a base register 1, by the control of a controller 5. If modes other than fundamental mode, for example, in case of a copying machine, a reducing magnification, a density, the number of copies, an upper or lower tray, etc. are designated as various modes in a mode register 3 from the operation panel 2, individual modes are counted and stored in a mode counter 6 each time. Contents of the mode counter 6 are read out by the output of a timer 4 at intervals of a prescribed time, and the most frequent mode is selected, and the fundamental mode in the base register 1 is changed to this mode. Thus, an initial fundamental mode most suitable for the place of the use is set to perform the work efficiently. |
