The said regulating valve is arranged as an embedded valve for a bore 2 and comprises a stopper 4 with an axial channel 7 which is open at the input side and communicates, on the output side, with the said bore 2 via radial channels 8 on the translation path on the stopper 4 of the control edge of a sliding ring 9, a ring which is sealed in the manner of a piston with respect to the bore 2 and loaded by a spring 11 against the pressure on the downstream side, but free of all pressure on the other side. The invention applies especially to the lubrication of internal combustion engines. <IMAGE>
