Novel odorant substances of the formula: I wherein: one of the three dotted lines represents an optional bond, R1 represents hydrogen, an alkyl group of one to four carbons or an alkenyl group of two to four carbons, R2 represents hydrogen or methyl, R3 represents hydrogen or methyl, provided that R2 and R3 are never both hydrogen, and novel fragrance compositions containing same.
