Method characterised by two flapping wings together describing in space a succession of interlaced triangular paths. Identical forces are exerted on these wings whose incidence varies automatically: when they carry out their inclined descent towards the front of the machine, simultaneous traction and lift, and when they are rising, after sliding slightly rearwards horizontally on the apparatus, lift only. A mechanical device allows these movements to be carried out. It comprises two wings B and B', with a hollow profile, connected by an armature C situated above a rigid frame A and forming part of it via bars E provided with articulations D. These bars move with the aid of levers F reducing the motive power. A mechanism G provided with elastic elements or springs H causes the incidence of the wings to vary automatically. <IMAGE>
