The invention refers to a device in a high frequency synthesizer for reducing its power consumption and thereby increasing the life span of the batteries which feed the synthesizer. The invention means, that the synthesizers phase-locked control loop (10) is periodically disconnected from the feeder battery. So that no considerable power from the control loop's (10) oscillating (12) frequency shall originate during such a break in the feed effect to the control loop, devices (22, 24) are set up in order to maintain a control signal to the oscillator (12) so that it retains its frequency. By the frequency operation being minimized through this, the control loop can once more be locked quickly after each such break in the feed effect to the control loop.<IMAGE> |
