Bullet entrapment device for a rifle grenade

A grenade is patented which is fired by means of a rifle, by the rifle bullet, the kinetic energy of the weapon's round being used to fire the grenade. The grenade is provided with a bullet entrapment device in which the penetrating round is braked. The bullet entrapment device consists of coaxially arranged discs of wire mesh with a different mesh width. This ensures gentle acceleration of the grenade and at the same time prevents recoil from propulsion-charge gases which project in front of the rifle bullet and set the grenade in motion by penetrating the wire mesh. <IMAGE>
