摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent wasteful discharge in a non-discharge section, to increase discharge power per a unit area and to miniaturize a device by coating only the discharge side section of an electrode with a high permittivity substance. CONSTITUTION:An electrode body 22 consisting of a metallic pipe is coated with a dielectric 24 in a discharge body 26. The discharge side section 24a of the dielectric 24 is composed of a high permittivity substance, and the non-discharge side section 24b consists of a low permittivity substance. The sections 24a are masked with a tape, etc. on the manufacture of the electrode, the masks are coated with the dielectrics 24 composed of glass having low permittivity, the discharge side sections are removed together with the masks, masks are formed to the sections 24b, the sections 24a are coated with the high permittivity substance consisting of high-permittivity glass, the masks are removed, and the whole is baked. Accordingly, the electrostatic capacitance only of the discharge side sections is increased.
