PURPOSE:To obtain a picture processor having general-purpose properties owing to program control as well as high-speed performance, by using a means which can perform the four rules of arithmetic at a high speed and a means which can easily arrange the picture processor in parallel to each other. CONSTITUTION:A locally parallel type picture processor can process data obtained by dividing a picture input into local data of (m rows X n columns). The data of (m rows X n columns) supplied through a picture data input port 31 are given to a local memory 10. A program stored in a program memory 11 reads out the 1st data memory 15, the 2nd data memory 16 and a local data memory 10 and sends them to an addition/subtraction device 13 and a multiplier 14. Both the device 13 and the multiplier 14 can perform operations at a time, and the inputs of them are selected by selection circuits 23-27 which are controlled by a program. Thus the general-purpose properties and the high-speed performance are ensured for a picture processor. |
