FUEL INJECTION QUANTITY REGULATOR

PURPOSE:To prevent considerable droppage of engine output or damage of engine by deciding malfunction of external adjuster for adjusting the fuel injection quantity and controlling to predetermined level. CONSTITUTION:In order to correct the injection characteristic of a fuel injection pump 2 electrically through a control unit 3, an adjuster 11 is provided to connect a connector 13 associated with a switch 12 through a cable 9 with a control unit 3. One signal such as a combination switch signal where GND pin (a) is not connected with any one of other pins is decided to be miss-connection of switch or the abnormality of the connector 13. The adjustment DELTAQ at this time is forcefully brought to the minimum thus to inform the abnormality through a buzzer or a lamp and to command repairment to the operator or the engine operator. In other words, the abnormality is informed to the driver to regulate the injection to the safe side thus to indicate the posibility of self-traveling to a near by repair shop.
