Antitheft device for displayed valuables - uses tilting display table with chute beneath and electronic vibration activated trigger

The safety mechanism has the table (2) supporting the valuables fitted with a tilting system which is triggered by a detection device sensitive to shock or vibration having amplitude and/or frequency beyond set limits. The detection system is fitted to the display enclosure (1). - The system is designed with two levels of sensitivity. At the lower levels of vibration the system is activated in a preliminary mode in which an alarm is activated. If the second level of vibration is reached the table tilts and tips the valuables down a chute (4) beyond the reach of the thief. A collection facility (8) is incorporated to gather the debris of the casing. The activation of the system can be by means of a solenoid or an electric motor under control of an electronic detector system. (11pp Dwg.No.1/4)
