<p>An electrically conductive material which is cohesive, uniform, microporous, and electrically conductive is described. This material is tacky, is conformable, has low impedance, is essentially non-irritating to the skin and is useful as a conductive material in biomedical electrodes. It comprises a fixed gel of nonionic synthetic polymer and a disaccharide, notably a polyacrylamide-sucrose matrix. It may contain an aqueous salt solution, particularly when used for a biomedical sensing electrode.</p> |
