ALUMINUM ALLOY BRAZING FILLER METAL FOR ALUMINUM HEAT EXCHANGER

PURPOSE:To improve a brazing characteristic and brazing strength by incorporating specific weight % of Si, Ca, Mg, Cu and Zn into titled brazing filler metal. CONSTITUTION:The components of the Al alloy brazing filler metal are constituted with 4.5-13-5% Si, 0.05-0.5% Ca and the balance substantially Al to manufacture the 1st Al alloy brazing filler metal. The 2nd Al alloy brazing filler metal is formed by incorporating further 0.3-3.0% Mg into such Al alloy brazing filler metal. At least Cu among 2.3-4.7 Cu and 9.3-10.7% Zn is incorporated into the 1st Al alloy brazing filler metal to constitute the 3rd Al alloy brazing filler metal. The brazing structure is made finer by using such Al alloy brazing filler metal and executing brazing and therefore the strength of the brazed part is improved. The brazing characteristic is improved as well by the addition of Cu and Si.
