PURPOSE:To conduct excellent printing even immediately after a shaking such as a vibration and a shock by forming an obstacle in an ink flow path. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording head with an ink storage tank 3, an ink flow path 4 communicated with an orifice 1 from the ink storage tank 3 and a discharge energy generating body, an obstacle is shaped in the ink flow path 4. The obstacle is formed to a shape, such as a projection, irregularities, a wall, etc. When such an obstacle is formed in the ink flow path, the contact area of ink is increased, holding force between ink path shaping members for ink can be augmented by interfacial tension between both members, and the flow-path resistance of the whole ink flow path can be magnified because the length of the ink flow path is lengthened, thus preventing the movement of ink in the ink flow path on the vibration of the head, then obviating peripheral contamination due to the impossibility of printing and the leakage of ink. |
