In a test vessel (10) for medical laboratories for sampling and sample processing two labels (15, 16) with identical codes are applied to the outer wall of the vessel, at least one of these labels being a tear-off label (16). On introducing a sample into the vessel one label is torn off and stuck on to a form. In this way, the form is straightforwardly allocated to the sample. <IMAGE>
