The cylindrical insulating socket (10) has coaxial bore sections (11-13) of different dia. A plug pin (14) is inserted in the socket bore by a part of its length, while the connector has a sheet metal sleeve (30) with three different clamping sections (31-33). Two clamping sections (31,32) has two different dias. w.r.t. the insulating socket. The two sections secure the connection between the plug pin and the coaxial inner conductor of the cable, while the third clamping section (33) fits the coaxial cable and clamps its braided screen. Pref. the socket bore section (11) of the greatest dia. retains the coaxial cable with its screen, while the middle section (12) of a smaller dia. retains the cable without the screen. The section (13) with the smallest dia. retains the inner conductor.
