Each weight plate of the appts. comprises a cut flat iron of suitable dimensions, and a weight of five kilograms. On these plates are welded four pieces of bent round iron (2), two on each side, and displaced so that the round iron on the underside is aligned with that on the top side of the weight plate beneath. In this way, the weight plates are fixed one on top of the other, leaving an intermediary space between them. The radius of the round iron assists in guiding the superimposed weight plates into the correct position. The other function of the round irons is to guide the pins (3) so that these meet holes in fork structures (4) on the opposite side. Via wires, the uppermost weight plate is lifted, being guided by two guides via two bronze-lined bushes. The pins are inserted in fork holes with the uppermost weight plate in the rest position. |
