<p>The wheel unit is characterized by an especially short distance between the wheel flange (14) and the axle suspension (link (7)) and by its very compact design, since the frame (8) is supported next to the wheel (21) on a link (7) which itself can be used directly as a brake plate support (6), and because the brake drum (13), directly projecting axially from the wheel flange (14) over a common wheel hub (15 6), can be supported at an extremely short distance from the wheel by tapered roller bearings (15) located as closely as possible to one another.</p> |
